Soren Scenario for Hyperion

This is a savegame scenario, designed specifically for the
Hyperion patch V1.375 and EFS V1.4.

Simply extract the file SOREN.SAV to your EFS save game 
directory (EFS\SAV) and ensure that you have the latest version
of the Hyperion patch installed. The lasted version of the
Hyperion patch may be found at the following URL:

This scenario has been designed to be very difficult. There are
no modifications to the Hyperion patch, so the difficulty has
been entirely embedded in the design of this scenario.

Epilogue

The House of Li Halan has undergone years of corruption and 
finds itself on the brink of extinction. Soren, a young and
noble man, finds himself at the helm of a House spread
throughtout the known jump worlds and thrown into chaos.

Li Halan Worlds:

Cerebus - considered the homeworld of the Li Halan, it is mired
in rebellion. The Lab and Starport were overrun with superior
rebel forces just last week and rumors of more widespread
planetary rebellion are rampant. Allegations of Li Halan Nobles
collaborating with Warlocks years ago forced the Church to
station a hardened garrison close to the Palace. The League have
an Agora bustling with activity a short distance from the Palace.

Vril-Ya - due to hardship, the Li Halan settled on this world
decades ago. However, as the populace spreadout, they uncovered
remnants of a Vau presence that have gripped the people in fear
of being discovered by the Vau. Now that a jump gate has been
discovered to a new world, many fear that it indeed leads to
the Vau homeworld and a confrontation between Li Halan and the
Vau may be imminent.

Varkal - years ago the Symbiots were eradicated from this
world by the joint efforts of the Church, Stigmata Garrison,
and Li Halan. This planet has since become the primary mining
resource of the Li Halan empire. Recently, however, jumpgates
were found leading to the worlds of Tedar-Tarek and Ildasta.
Scouts sent to these worlds have not returned causing fear to
spread throughout the planet as to what could be on the other
side.

Absolution - another planet liberated from the Symbiots, this
lush world has plenty of natural resources and produces a
steady supply of both food and minerals to the rest of the Li
Halan worlds. Even with no word from scouts sent into the
unexplored space of Tedar-Tarek and Ildasta, the citizenry is
quite upbeat about the prospects these new worlds may bring.


Byzantium Secundus -  Li Halan once had a mighty hand in the
affairs of Byzantium Secundus, but the fall of the House of Li
Halan has met with a steady decline of its presence here. Only
a few structures have been saved from the decay of the Li Halan
empire, and the Nobility have been absent for at least a decade.
